After many years of traveling the world shooting anything that didn’t shoot back he accumulated a library of stunning images.Alan joined a camera club and submitted many of his favorite images in print competition. That’s when he realized that he had a talent for photography by winning “Best of Shows” in a majority of these competitions.

As the years passed, Alan became California’s “Top 10 Photographer of the Year” 6 consecutive years running, and then earned the distinction of becoming a Master Photographer. Alan was PPA’S Photographer of the Year Silver Medalist, won California’s “People’s Choice” award, Western State’s Nature Photographer of the Year and Landscape Photographer of the Year.

He won the Kodak People’s Choice award and dozens of print competitions. One of his most prized awards was several of his competitive works were published in the coveted “loan collection”, PPA’s most sought after prize. Alan is a lecturer, print competition judge, and Photoshop instructor.

Eight years ago Alan created and founded the world’s only compositing software company, StudioMagic, a LayerCake company. He believes, “If you can dream it you can create it” by using StudioMagic’s one click software. Alan has created the compositing tools that defy the imagination, if you can dream it, you can create it, virtually in a matter of minutes.

Every day another effect, tool, or placement image is created and added to the StudioMagic software. Alan believes that StudioMagic will become the worlds’ only compositing tool.
